The Application Process
Before we begin the application process, we will need the following paperwork:
- Application form. You can download the form here. Just fill it out completely, sign and send it back to us, along with the other documents listed below.
- Processing statements with your current or latest payment processor for the last six months.
- Certificate of Incorporation or a similar document.
- A copy of the business owner’s passport or some other national ID document.
- A copy of your business operating license, if applicable.
- A voided check, if you have one; otherwise, please substitute with a bank letter.
- Your business’ three latest bank statements.
- A utility bill, which needs to be no older than 30 days of the application date.
It is very likely that, once we start reviewing your paperwork, we will need some additional documentation and we may ask you for an explanation of something or other. So be ready to follow up promptly on our requests to help us go through the process as swiftly as possible.

Dealing with a TMF / MATCH Placement
If you learn that your latest processor has placed your business on the TMF / MATCH list, the first thing you should do is to ask for the reason. In fact, if your merchant account is terminated, you should always ask whether you were placed on the TMF / MATCH. We will need this information before we start working on your account, as the set-up on our end will be different. And anyway, not telling us about the TMF thing will not make it go away and could actually be harmful, as we will inevitably find out at some later point and will have lost precious time working on the wrong solution.
It is likely that the underwriting process will take a bit longer to run its course than it would be the case with a non-TMF set-up and there is a reason for it: Visa and MasterCard will penalize processors who don’t follow the special rules which regulate TMF merchant accounts. We may need you to provide some additional documentation or answer a question or two, but other than that, as far as you are concerned, the process is much the same.
Once your weight loss merchant account is approved and set up, you can start taking credit cards once again, much as you did before the TMF placement. You would still need to be on your guard, though, and make sure you are using your service in accordance with the terms and conditions of your contract. Your activity will be monitored more closely than before and so you will have to make sure everything is as it should be. So just keep it all well organized.
