UniBul’s Application Process
Your high volume merchant account application will be reviewed as soon as we’ve received all the required paperwork. Processing times vary, as industry regulations require us to handle some industries more carefully than others. Still, usually we get it all done within one to two weeks. To begin the application process, we will need the following paperwork:
- Application form. It is available for download here. Please make sure you fill it out completely and give us as much detail as you can, then sign and initial where indicated and email the form back to us, together with all the documents listed below.
- Your Certificate of Incorporation or an equivalent document.
- A copy of the business owner’s government-issued ID — a passport or driver’s license would work just fine.
- A copy of your business / operating license.
- A voided business check for your bank account in which you will want your money to be deposited. Alternatively, you can substitute with a bank letter — if you do that, make sure it is signed by a bank representative.
- Your six latest monthly processing statements with your current or latest payment processor.
- Your three latest monthly bank statements.
- A copy of a utility bill, showing your address, which must be no older than 30 days of the date on which you signed the application.
We may need some additional documentation or information later on during the application review. This is standard procedure, so be prepared to follow up promptly on our requests and help us go through the process as quickly and smoothly as possible. TMF / MATCH List Considerations
In case your latest payment processing account was terminated, please let us know before we initiate the application review. We will also need to know why your merchant account was terminated. More importantly, if you were placed on the TMF / MATCH list, we will want to know that as well.
Merchants are often reluctant to share such details, fearing that by doing so they would hurt their chances of getting a new merchant account. Well, while it is undoubtedly true that many businesses have had difficult time dealing with a MATCH placement, at UniBul we happen to specialize in working with merchants on the TMF! The thing is that, as the underwriting process and account set-up for such an applicant are quite different from the regular one, we need to know how to proceed. And in any case, once we start reviewing your application, the TMF placement will inevitably pop up, so there is no hiding it. But having this information in advance will save us both valuable time and send us in the right direction.
