- Chargeback rate. This factor is extremely important. Ideally, you will have your chargebacks firmly under control, in which case you will get the best processing rates. If your chargeback rate is in what Visa and MasterCard consider “excessive” territory, we will still be able to work with you (through our high chargeback merchant account solution), only on less favorable terms. Bit don’t worry, once you start using your tech support merchant account, we will work with you to bring your chargeback rate down to more “normal” levels and, when we achieve that objective, we will reward you with lower processing fees.
- Rate of declined transactions. This is an important indicator for the overall health of your tech support business and we will be looking closely at it.
- Supporting paperwork. As part of the application process, we will ask you to provide documentation that you should have readily available. In particular, we will need the following:
- Certificate / Articles of Incorporation or an equivalent document.
- Copy of the owner’s passport / driver’s license / national ID card.
- Copy of your business / operating license, were applicable.
- Voided check or a bank letter.
- The three latest bank statements for your business.
- Recent utility bill — it should be no older than a month of the application date.
- Additional paperwork. It is quite probable, though by no means certain, that later on during the application process we will ask you to supply some additional documentation and we may also ask you for an explanation of some issue or other. This is standard underwriting procedure, so be ready and follow up promptly on our requests to help us wrap up the process as quickly as possible.
